Jack Hayes and Josh Galea have been named Supporters’ Club Player of the Month for November and December, respectively.
For Hayes, this is his first win in the Player of the Month competition since joining the team over the summer from Bracknell. He’s quickly established himself as a key member of the team’s defensive corps. The final game of November, a road trip to Solent, saw Hayes score Bristol’s only goal of the game. It was only the second goal in his short senior career so far.
Galea is no stranger to the Player of the Month competition, winning his first in October 2014. This latest win marked the fourth time the 24-year old has won.
Another anchor in Bristol’s defence, Galea scored his first two goals of the season during December. The first came in Bristol’s 12-4 road win at Lee Valley, the second the following weekend in Guildford. In that game, Galea’s goal tied the game in the third period before Bristol went on to lose 3-1.
The two awards also mean that three out of the four winners this season have come from Bristol’s blueline after Mike Hargreaves won October’s award.
Congratulations to both players.
