Bristol Pitbulls captain, Steve Osman, has announced that he will not be returning to the Dayshift Recruitment Bristol Pitbulls for the upcoming 2019-20 season.
Osman returned to the Pitbulls for a third spell last summer from the Division 1 Invicta Dynamos and it is a return to that level that has driven his decision.
He said: “While we perhaps didn’t do as well on ice as we’d hoped, I still enjoyed my season back at Bristol. But, with the league re-structuring, I’m looking for options to play at a higher level next season.
“I’d like to wish all the guys good luck for next season and I’m sure they will do really well fighting for the league title.”
Osman was the team’s top point scorer last season with 43 points, and inside the league’s top twenty. His team leading 23 assists from the season have also placed him second on the club’s all time assists record.
Everyone at the Bristol Pitbulls would like to thank Ozzy for his efforts last season and wish him all the best for the future.
The Pitbulls hope to announce their first signing for the new season in the coming weeks.
