Grant Richardson has been cleared to make his delayed start to the season after undergoing surgery for testicular cancer over the summer.
Ahead of his return to the ice, Richardson said: “It’s never easy starting the season late but I had few heath problems in the summer.
“I had to under go surgery on my groin area to remove a testicle because it discovered that had cancerous tumour in it. It wasn’t easy finding out. The mental side of it was tough. But having great family, friends and team mates around me made it a lot better.
“So far, the test results have been great, so this why I’m able to come back. I can’t wait to be involved again and help the team in anyway I can.”
Richardson will make his season debut tonight against the Basingstoke Buffalo.
