Defenceman Jack Hayes has agreed to join the Bristol Pitbulls from Bracknell for the upcoming season.
Still only nineteen years old, Hayes comes with a wealth of experience. Having come up through his hometown Swindon junior system, he moved to Bracknell’s u18 team in 2015. While there, he impressed enough to be given a full-time contract with the EPL’s Bracknell Bees.
With the restructuring of the leagues last summer, he spent the 2017-18 season on a two-way contract with the Bracknell Hornets and the NIHL Division 1 Bracknell Bees.
On his decision to join Bristol, Hayes said: “Signing with Bristol this year is a change for me after playing out of Bracknell EPL and NIHL for the past few seasons.
“I’m looking forward to joining Bristol this year. There are a couple of senior players that I remember seeing as a young boy watching Swindon Wildcats that I will enjoy playing alongside.
“You can tell that this team is a close group and I’m hoping that will help us go on and win many games for the fans this year. Bristol is a gritty team that has that desire to want to give the best they have in every game they play.
“I am looking forward to the season getting underway now as it’s a long summer when you just wanna get back on the ice and do it all over again.”
