Last weekend’s postponed game at Peterborough has now been cancelled and awarded as a 0-0 draw.
Peterborough lost the ice time to host the game after the Division 1 Phantoms qualified for the NIHL1 final and were forced to play at home the same night after top seeds Basingstoke elected to play at home on the Sunday night.
By awarding the game as a 0-0 draw, Bristol now need to beat Bracknell this Saturday to guarantee qualification for the playoffs.
The official statement from the EIHA is as follows:
For the unplayed NIHL2 League game between Peterborough Phantoms 2 and Bristol Pitbulls, due to circumstances outside of either team control cancelling the fixture that was scheduled to be played on Saturday 31st March, the game shall be awarded 0-0, with 1pt each to either side.
